About Eragon

My favorite book of all time is Eragon by Christopher Paolini (shown on right). It is a book about a boy named Eragon who is walking through the Spine, a mountain range, and a polished blue stone appears out of nowhere. He takes it home to see if it is worth anything. When the traders come, Eragon finds out that no one knows what it is worth. He leaves it at home and thinks nothing of it.

One night, he is awoken to a squeaking sound coming from the now shaking stone! Soon, a baby dragon crawls out. Eragon keeps it secret and makes it a hut in the forest. When some strangers come into town asking about the egg, Eragon knows

that it is time to tell his family. He tries to get Saphira, the dragon, first and she takes him far away to get him out of danger. When they get back to the farm, the house is burned down and Garrow, Eragon's uncle is mortally wounded. Saphira and Eragon start to go to Carvahall for medical attention. When Garrow dies, the only thing Eragon and Saphira can think to do is go after the strangers and kill them. When Brom, the storyteller asks to go with them, Eragon has no choice but to say yes. Eragon, Brom, and Saphira go on an adventure that will change their lives.

Eragon is not a single book. It has a sequel, Eldest, and in 2007, the third and final book will be released. On my Book Talk page, I have a post of Eragon Book Three Predictions, and about thirty people have given me their predictions, and if you search Eragon Book Three Predictions on google, my post is the first link on the page!

Last Halloween, Shurtugal.com had a Eragon Costume Design Contest and I won first place with Eragon. I will have the link to the site of my costume soon.

Eragon Movie

On December 15th, 2006, Eragon reaches the big screen. The Trailer looks awesome! To view it, click the film button off of my trailer link.

Seeing the pictures on Shurtugal.com, I do not think that it will be the greatest. The Urgals do not have horns, Eragon has a zip-up leather vest, Galbatorix is in the movie and not the book, Arya has blonde hair, Ajihad's armour looks bad, and Durza's eyes are not maroon.
