Bubble Homes and Fish Farts

Bubble Homes and Fish Farts

This book is on the list, not because the content is humorous, but because the title instantly makes kids laugh and want to read the book. The book is actually very informative and tells how a variety of animals use bubbles in their lives. It's very interesting and my students absolutely love it.

Ideas and Activities:

To introduce this book, greet your students while blowing bubbles (the kind in the jar with a wand, not bubble gum). Have them try to come up with ways animals might use bubbles.

I read this book to my students during April, which is National Poetry Month, and had them write acrostic poems about the animals in the book and post them to our library blog.
