Chickens to the Rescue

Monday…Tuesday…Wednesday…Thursday…Friday…Have a problem?  Chickens to the rescue!  Farmer Greenstalk dropped his watch down the well.  Chickens to the rescue!  Jeffrey Greenstalk’s dog ate his book report.  Chickens to the rescue!  But, what happens on Sunday? This is a fun, simple story that will have pres-2nd graders giggling as they wonder what will happen next.  Will it be a brave rescue or a hilarious catastrophe?

Ideas and Activities:

Younger students will automatically start giggling if you enter the room wearing a couple or ALL of the following:  swimming goggles, swimming flippers, apron, chef’s hat, pencil behind the ear, carrying a net and/ fishing pole.
The days of the week could be taught through this crazy story.
