Do Not Open This Book!

I told you, “DO NOT OPEN THIS BOOK!”  “Did I ask you to enter?”  Pig is trying desperately to write a book but the words keep jumbling up and the reader will not stop being a nuisance!   “Now what do you want?”  Pig decides to incorporate the reader in his story in a rude effort to get rid of the reader.  This is a fun silly story that kids can’t wait to TURN THE PAGE!

Ideas and Activities:

Have many words printed on different color paper and in a variety of font sizes and shapes.  Tape the words in a jumble on a board or wall.  When the story is over, try to have the students make a sentence out of the jumbled words.  The sentence could pertain to a writing or reading skill
