Ducks Don't Wear Socks

Emily is a very serious girl. Duck is not. Will Emily convice duck that ducks don't do crazy things like wear socks, or will duck convince Emily that you don't always have to be serious?

Ideas and Activities:

To introduce the story, do something out of the ordinary, like wear boxer shorts on your head or wear roller skates. Act as if nothing is out of the ordinary, and you know that one of the kids will ask you why you have underwear on your head or skates on at school. Give a "Duck-like" response, and share the story.

This is a great story to use in discussions about how life should have it's fun moments, and that you don't have to be serious all of the time.
