Written and Illustrated by Kevin O'Malley

When pigs can fly, wonderful things happen!
After a zany dream, chicken and his pal George set out to find the golden treasure of corn. Their adventures take them on a journey full of ludicrous word play and comical riddles. What do you call a chicken that can swim? Join the journey with chicken and his pal to find out!

Ideas and Activities:

Start off with some fun chicken jokes to grab the students’ attention. Of course they will have some to share with you also! You can discuss how word play creates a fun, comical story to read. You might even have a treasure chest set out for the students to generate ideas about what type of “golden” treasure they might dream about searching for.
