Ideas and Activities:

Meet Wild Boars would be a good book to start the year off.  Appropriate school behaviors can be discussed and how inappropriate behaviors can affect others.  A picture of one of the boars can be displayed on which each student can sign their name as a contract to try hard not to be “wild boarish” and to think about others.
This would also be a fun book to discuss how juicy adjectives enhance a story.
